What Our Participants Say

Country Cottage is a safe, caring and respectful housing source for those with mental illness. I have worked with the clients from Country Cottage for several years now and without the consistent care that the Cottage provides, the services that my agency provides alone would not make the difference in the client’s recovery process. Country Cottage is more than just housing it is stable home in the course of mental health recovery.

My son has been at Country Cottage for several years. Dustin has a great understanding of my sons mental illness. Dustin and the staff encourage the good and guide him through the rough times. The consistent schedule is great! I am very happy with the care my son receives and that he gets to live in the country. Rhonda and Dustin are the best advocates and care givers anyone could ask for!

My son has been a resident at Country Cottage for two years. When I first went to the facility to check it out and meet the director, Dustin Wilson, I knew that I found the perfect fit for my son and his needs. My first impression of Dustin Wilson was that he was highly organized and ran a tight but loving ship. The grounds are well kept and the common area and kitchen were spotless. They have a dog there, Oreo, who fits in perfectly with the residents and staff. He is very mellow and seems to be just one of the guys. My son has dietary needs. He has Celiac disease and has to eat a gluten free diet. The staff is very accommodating in meeting his dietary restrictions. My son says the food is good. I like the fact that this is a structured environment. Meals are served at specific times as is the medicine schedule. They also do bed checks and fire drills on a regular basis. Laundry for the residents is also done by the staff weekly. The guys have to make their beds and keep their rooms tidy. I visit regularly and find the staff and the residents to be friendly. I can’t recommend Country Cottage enough. It is the perfect environment for my son and the residents there seem to be happy and well cared for.
