Back to Basic Living specializes in working with individuals with developmental disabilities ages 18-99 such as: mental retardation, down syndrome, autism, dual diagnosis, behavioral issues, and personality disorders.

Back to Basic Living offers an opportunity for people to live in their own home and learn skills to live as normal and independent as possible. Most of the participants live with roommates due to the cost of living.

One of the most important philosophies of Back to Basic Living is for each participant to feel successful, be productive, have fun, and to respect themselves and others.
